The cost of an online store in Saudi Arabia starts at SAR 4,000 for a Salla or Zid build and SAR 5,000 on Shopify, WooCommerce or a platform we choose with you, at TecnoStack's published starting prices. More products and system integrations raise the price. Platform plans, apps, hosting beyond the 3 months included with a WooCommerce build, payment and shipping fees come on top.
All prices here are starting prices in Saudi riyals, before VAT where it applies, and your proposal confirms the final scope and price. The running costs belong to your providers, so this guide shows where they appear and how to budget for them.
The build is a one-off fee, and the platform you choose sets the starting point. This table shows our three plans on each platform and the catalogue size each one covers.

What each Salla, Shopify and WooCommerce plan includes
Salla. Our Salla store design plans start with Salla launch: one theme set up, up to 30 products, an Arabic storefront with the essential pages, supported payment and shipping methods, and two rounds of design revisions. Salla growth adds 10 categories, up to 8 campaign banners, up to 3 supported apps and up to 4 ad pixels. Salla operations covers 20 categories, up to 12 banners, up to 5 apps, order-flow testing and an operations guide.
Shopify. Shopify launch includes an Arabic and English storefront, theme styling and up to 5 content pages. Shopify growth adds up to 4 custom theme sections and up to 3 supported apps. Connected Shopify brings up to 6 custom sections and one documented API integration through a custom app.
WooCommerce. WooCommerce launch includes a bilingual store, one payment plugin and one shipping plugin. WooCommerce growth adds up to 4 customised theme templates, up to 3 plugins and a staging site. Connected WooCommerce adds one custom module and one integration with a documented API.
Larger stores. A Magento project starts with an assessment of your existing installation, from SAR 9,000, and Magento storefront work starts from SAR 25,000. A headless storefront starts with a planning blueprint from SAR 6,000. You can see every store plan on our pricing page, next to our other services.
Five scope items decide which plan your store needs: products, languages, apps and integrations, product content, and migration.
Products imported. Our plans step from 30 to 50 products, to 100 or 150, to 250 or 400. Count variants such as sizes and colours as well, because they shape filters and collection pages.
Languages. The Salla launch plan sets up an Arabic storefront, plus English where your Salla plan supports it. On Shopify, WooCommerce and our general e-commerce plans, every plan includes a bilingual storefront.
Apps and integrations. Each supported app we configure is a line in the scope. A connection to your ERP or inventory system sits on the top plans, because someone has to agree which system owns stock and prices, and what happens when a sync fails.
Product content. You provide product data, images and translations on every plan. A clean spreadsheet with final descriptions saves days. If the catalogue needs rewriting or translating beyond the descriptions your plan includes, we price that as its own workstream.
Migration. Moving an existing store adds export checks, data mapping and redirects for your important URLs. Nobody can guarantee search positions after a move, and we will not promise them.
Running costs are billed by your providers, so our build prices exclude them, apart from the first 3 months of hosting that come with a WooCommerce build. Give each one its own line in the budget:
- Platform plan. As of October 2026, Salla's plans page lists a free Basic plan alongside paid Plus and Pro plans, and every plan on Shopify's Saudi pricing page is paid. Some customisations depend on the plan you pick. Our Salla vs Zid vs Shopify comparison sets the plan and payment fees side by side.
- Themes and paid apps. Features such as product reviews or loyalty points often come as paid themes, apps or plugins, many with a monthly fee.
- Hosting. Salla and Shopify run the servers for you. WooCommerce and Magento need hosting that you or a provider manage. Our managed web hosting starts from SAR 149 a month, and our VPS and cloud plans from SAR 399 a month for stores that need their own server.
- Payment fees. Payment providers charge per transaction, and each method you offer, such as mada, credit cards or a pay-later service, needs approval on your merchant account. Shopify's pricing page also lists its own transaction fee when payments go through a provider other than Shopify Payments. Our article on pay-later providers in the region covers where that market stands.
- Shipping. Carrier rates depend on weight, city and failed delivery attempts.
- Marketing. Optional, but most stores need traffic. Our SEO plans start from SAR 1,500 a month and our digital marketing plans from SAR 2,500 a month.
Payment and shipping fees grow with every order, so they belong in your per-order maths as well as your monthly budget. Our guide to contribution margin per order shows how to work out what one order leaves after product, payment, delivery and returns.
A bilingual WooCommerce store with up to 100 products, on our managed business hosting after the 3 months of hosting included in the build, starts at about SAR 11,691 for its first year before VAT. That figure uses only our published starting prices and assumes the store fits the hosting allowances, so treat it as a lower bound, not a quote.
- WooCommerce growth build: from SAR 9,000, paid once, with the first 3 months on our Managed starter hosting and a .com or .sa domain for the first year.
- Managed business hosting: SAR 299 a month for the other 9 months, or SAR 2,691.
- Still to add: plugin licences, payment fees and shipping.
On Salla or Shopify, the hosting line becomes the platform plan plus any paid apps. Run the same sum for each platform on your shortlist with each provider's current figures. The cheapest build does not always give the cheapest first year.
A hosted platform such as Salla or Shopify suits most new stores in Saudi Arabia: the platform runs the servers, checkout and updates, and your team manages products and orders. WooCommerce gives you more control inside WordPress, in exchange for looking after hosting and plugin updates; our guide on when a WordPress store makes sense weighs that trade. Magento and headless builds suit large catalogues or experiences the standard themes cannot deliver, and they bring more integration and operating work. If you are weighing a headless storefront or commerce backend, start with who will run each part after launch.
Seven answers let us match your store to a plan in one conversation:
- Which platforms are on your shortlist, and why?
- How many products and variants will you launch with?
- Arabic, English or both?
- Which payment and shipping providers do you plan to use?
- Which systems should the store connect to, such as an ERP or inventory tool?
- Who prepares product descriptions, images and translations?
- Are you moving an existing store, and from which platform?
If Salla is your choice, the Salla store setup checklist puts the launch steps in order. If you also need a company website next to the store, our guide to the cost of a company website covers those prices. Before we agree a build, our ecommerce development team walks one typical order through browsing, payment, stock, dispatch and a return.
Bring those answers to a short call: describe your store to us and we will reply with a scope and a starting price.
The TecnoStack prices in this article are the starting prices published on our service pages on 21 October 2026, in SAR and before VAT where it applies. Platform, app, payment and shipping fees belong to their providers and change over time; we checked the Salla and Shopify pricing pages on 21 October 2026.
