Motion graphics video cost depends mostly on length, illustration and languages. At TecnoStack, a 2D animated video starts from SAR 4,000 for up to 30 seconds, SAR 7,000 for up to 60 seconds with custom-drawn scenes and SAR 12,000 for a 90-second campaign film. Each plan covers one language and includes the script, the storyboard and two revision rounds.
All prices are starting prices in Saudi riyals, before VAT where it applies. Voice-over, a second language and 3D are quoted separately.
A motion graphics video is made in a fixed order: words, then pictures, then movement. You approve each step before the next one starts, because changing a script costs minutes, while changing a finished animation can cost days.
- Brief. You tell us who the video is for, the one thing it has to say, where it will play, how long it should be and which language you need.
- Script. We write the message, the narration or on-screen text and the call to action. You approve the script before we draw anything.
- Storyboard and style frames. We sketch each scene in order and design a few finished frames, so you see the look and the sequence while changes are still cheap.
- Animation. We animate the scenes, time the type and the transitions, and add sound. You review the draft at the stage we agreed.
- Language and sound. If your scope includes voice-over, captions or a second language, we fit them to the timing of each version.
- Export. We export the master video and the cutdowns in the aspect ratios your brief lists, then package the files for handover.
Most delays start when someone skips a step. If the script is still changing during animation, the schedule and the budget both move.
Our motion graphics production comes in three plans. Each one fixes the length, the formats and the number of cutdowns, so you can compare them line by line.
| Plan | Length | What it includes | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short explainer | Up to 30 seconds | Script, storyboard and 2D graphics in your brand style; one master video in the aspect ratio you choose; one social cutdown | SAR 4,000 |
| Brand explainer | Up to 60 seconds | Script, storyboard and custom-drawn 2D scenes; master exported in 2 aspect ratios; two social cutdowns | SAR 7,000 |
| Campaign motion | Up to 90 seconds | Script, storyboard and custom-drawn 2D scenes; 3 aspect ratios; three social cutdowns; editable project files with notes on licensed assets | SAR 12,000 |
Every plan is in one language and includes two revision rounds before the final export. Each included cutdown runs up to 15 seconds and uses scenes from the approved master, so it costs far less than a new film. To compare these plans with our other services, see starting prices for every service.
Five decisions set an animated explainer video cost: length, illustration style, languages, sound and licences, and the number of formats. Decide them in the brief and the quote will hold.
Length
Length is the biggest driver, because every extra second needs its own frames, timing and review. A 30-second video suits one message and one next step. If you need to explain a process or several features, plan for 60 or 90 seconds rather than squeezing them in.
Illustration style
Graphics built from your brand style, with shapes, type and icons, take less time than scenes drawn from scratch. Our Short explainer uses 2D graphics in your brand style; the larger plans include custom-drawn scenes. Characters and detailed backgrounds add work, and 3D is quoted separately.
Languages
Each plan covers one language. An Arabic version needs more than a swapped title: Arabic runs right to left, often differs in length from the English and needs its own typography and timing. That is why a second language version is scoped and priced on its own. If you need both from the start, say so in the brief so the scenes are designed to work in both directions.
Voice-over, music and licences
Voice-over, paid music, stock footage and translation are quoted separately. Their cost depends on the voice artist, the licence terms and where the video will run. We confirm usage rights and third-party licence costs before production.
Formats and cutdowns
A landscape video for your website, a vertical version for Stories and short-video feeds, and a square version for some ad placements are three different compositions. Resizing one file does not frame any of them well. Our plans include one, two or three aspect ratios, so list every placement in the brief.
On our plans, six items sit outside the starting price. Read the exclusions before you compare two quotes:
- Voice-over, by a voice artist in the language you choose.
- Paid music or stock assets, with the licence you need.
- Translation and a second language version.
- 3D animation.
- A new script after approval, as opposed to revisions within the agreed rounds.
- Media spend, if you promote the video with ads.
A cheaper quote sometimes leaves out the script, the storyboard, revisions or the cutdowns. Compare what is included before you compare totals.
An accurate quote comes from a brief that answers seven questions:
- Who is the video for, and what should they do after watching?
- What is the one message it has to deliver?
- How long should it be, and where will it play?
- Which aspect ratios and cutdowns do you need?
- Arabic, English or both, and do you need a voice-over?
- Which brand assets do you already have: logo, fonts, colours, illustrations?
- Is there a launch date, and why?
Decide where the video will play before you approve the storyboard. If you will post the cutdowns on your own channels, our guide to social media packages in riyals explains what a monthly plan covers. To place the explainer on your site, our guide to pricing a company website shows how pages and scope set the budget. If you plan to promote the video with ads, set up conversion tracking for Google Ads first, so you can see which placements bring enquiries.
When your brief answers the seven questions above, tell us what needs explaining and we will reply with a scope and a starting price for your video.
The prices in this article are the starting prices published on our motion graphics service page on 21 October 2026. They are in SAR, exclude VAT where it applies, and your proposal confirms the final scope and price.
